Ahhh... Summer Vacation and Quilts!

Lovely quilt from the show in Sisters, OR

Vacation was lovely. I hope all of you are able to take some time off to relax and recuperate.  We headed down to a cabin on the Metolius River in Camp Sherman OR. It was hot during the day, but cooled off nicely over night.

On Saturday we went into Sisters for the annual outdoor quilt show.  We saw so many wonderful, lovely, gorgeous quilts there!  What an inspiring visit. I have way more photos and need to get through them all sometime soon.  Meanwhile, this was one of my favorites. (Of course, Blue and Green are my favorite colors!)View blog

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July all! The shop is closed for vacation and I've been having a good time with some sewing for the family.

Of course, small business keeps running through my brain even though I'm officially off. What's at the top of mind? I'm looking at carrying a couple more lines of skein yarn and a couple more lines of cone yarns.

If you look closely you CAN see Red White and Blue!

Anyone who has been in the shop will realize that this means a little bit of re-arranging and perhaps some clearance. So, after vacation I'll be placing the fall yarn orders, working on setting up for a clearance sale at the beginning of August, and figuring out how to re-arrange our space to hold more yarn!
